2000’s Ikea Tirup ‘Egg chair’ designed by Carl Ojerstam

An Ikea modern classic, first available in 2007, no longer made or available.

The design Influence was obviously taken from Arne Jacobsen’s Egg chair. This is a sturdy and substantial swivel chair made from a moulded high resilient polyurethane foam with a 100% cotton cushion cover, sitting on a heavy hi gloss chrome plated base.

Older Ikea items are fast becoming highly collectible and are indeed modern Scandinavian design classics.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Minor signs of wear consistent with age and use.
